The scientists of the Dahls university suggest unique

project of monitoring the universe

 

 

Scientists of the East-Ukrainian national university named after Vladimir Dahl have taken part in the work of the VII International conference on space research that was held in Evpatoria in the beginning of September. Here they had made the property of publicity the space project on monitoring the universe in a range ultrahigh energy.

The mankind has full enough studied the universe in different ranges of radiation: radio, infra-red, seen, ultra-violet, x-ray, gamma. But till now nobody saw it in a range of ultrahigh energy so one of the project leaders, the head of the Chair of physics of ENU professor Peter Golubnichiy has told us. The decision of this task for modern astrophysics and physics of elementary particles is one of the major and will allow to answer many fundamental problems which concern the origin and evolution of our universe, the dark matter, dark energy and so forth.

 

Almost half a century ago the idea to use the Moon as a target for detector to research the universe in a range of ultrahigh energy has appeared. In modern works of foreign scientists, scientists of Dahl university - professor Peter Golubnichiy, senior lecturer Sergey Krivonosov, professor Anatoliy Filonenko together with physicists of the Kiev national university named after T.G. Shevchenko, Institute of nuclear research of the NAS of Ukraine, Odessa national polytechnical university, Institute of theoretical physics named after A.I.Ahiezer, NSC "CPTI of the NAS of Ukraine has proven an opportunity of realization of such a project. It has successfully sustained examination and among eleven of 90 suggested works at a conference in Evpatoria has been recommended to inclusion within the framework of the international initiative EXPLORATION, providing development of the Moon and planets of Solar system to the state space program of Ukraine for 2008-2012.

 

Monitoring the universe in a range of ultrahigh energy is one of the most fundamental and priority projects for Ukraine in XXI century, - professor Peter Golubnichy asserts.

As independent structural unit the chair faculty of physics started in August, 1957. The first head of the chair was prof. S.M.Holodilin.

 

 

 

 

Holodilin Sergey Nikolaevich

 

Year of birth - 1887.

 

In 1905 has graduated from the first Lugansk male grammar school. Being only 12 years old (the pupil of 2-nd class) was engaged in tutoring. Has become a student at physical and mathematical faculty of the Odessa university. In 1907 he was transferred to the Moscow Imperial university. In 1910 has graduated from the physical and mathematical faculty of the Moscow university. In 1920-1934 taught mathematics and physics at the Lugansk male grammar school, agricultural and machine-building technical schools, headed the chair of physics at Lugansk pedagogical institute. In 1940 has received academic status of the senior lecturer.

 

Area of scientific interests - molecular physics.

 

On the basis of item 81 of the General Charters of Russian Universities has been awarded the diploma of the first degree with all rights and advantages.

 

 

 

 

 

The beginning of the sixtieth - the period of active growth of the chairs quantitative structure. At this time the chair was headed by senior lecturer Aryev A.M.

 

 

 

 

 

Arjev Abram Mikhailovich

 

Year of a birth - 1914.

In 1937 has graduated from the Rostov state university (specialty "Physics").

In 1951 - the thesis with a theme Use of organic materials for isolation of electric machines. Since 1952 works in Novocherkassk polytechnical institute. In 1955 has received academic status of a senior lecturer.

1960 - 1973 the head of the chair of physics of Lugansk machine-building institute. During this time there is a hard work on the equipment of the chair with technical equipment, the problem laboratory on physics of polymers is created, the postgraduate study on the specified direction opens, research activity develops.

In the middle of the 60s on the base of LMBI there takes place the first republican all-university conference on application of polymers in mechanical engineering.

 

Area of scientific interests - physics and technology of polymers.

 

On the given subjects under Arjeva A.M.'s management two master's theses had been obtained by Zaslavskiy N.N. and Sotnikov A.V.

 

 

 

 

Golubnichy Petr Ivanovich

Since September 1974 Golubnichy Petr Ivanovich - the Honored worker of science and technics, the doctor of physical and mathematical sciences, professor, academician of Engineering Academy of Ukraine and the International academy of information, member of the American and European physical societies, the known expert in the field of nuclear physics, physics of plasma, space physics and astrophysics is heading the chair. He has a wide experience of research and scientific and pedagogical activity in such known teams as Physical institute named after P.M.Lebedev of the Russian Academy of Science, Institute of nuclear physics of Siberian branch of AS of the USSR, the Moscow State University named after M.V.Lomonosov, Novosibirsk State University. He listened to lectures of oustanding physicists of the present, Nobel prize winners Nils Bohr, Peter Kapitsa, Lev Landau, Vitaliy Ginzburg, Nikolay Basov, Paul Cherenkov, the father of nuclear power Igor Kurchatov and others.

 

For the last thirty three years prof. Golubnichiy P.I. heads the chair of physics of the Est-Ukrainian national university named after Vladimir Dahl and scientific school of research in the field of physics of high density of energy.

Scientific connections with PhIAS, the general subjects of work within the framework of uniform programs have allowed representatives of Lugansk school of physicists (Lugansk Machine-building Institute - Vostochnoukrainsky State University - Vostochnoukrainsky National University named after Vladimir Dahl) to take part in research experiments at high-mountainous and underground scientific stations, international conferences, protection of thesis at PhIASs special committees and other. This was the way that passed Peter Ivanovicha's post-graduate students: Kaljuzhnij G.S., Kudlenko V.G., Filonenko A.D., Korchikov S.I., Savchenko R.T., Efimenko L.A., etc.

Since 1975 speciality 01.04.16 "Physics of a nuclear nucleus, elementary particles and high energy at the chair has opened postgraduate program. The chairss team has grown not only is qualitative amount the number of teachers with scientific degrees has increased about 5 % in 1974 up to 37 % already in 1977 - but also quantitatively (from 25 persons in 1974 up to 55 persons in 1978). Till 2000, within the framework of working scientific school, employees of the chair of physics had finished 3 doctor's and 16 master's theses, there are prepared 2 more doctor's and 6 master's theses.

Starting the ascension to Olympus of science, the faculty took part in international projects at construction of neutrino telescope within the depths of World ocean (project DUMAND), at substantiation of an opportunity of creation of low-level underground detector such as installation "Collapse" of the Institute of Nuclear Research of the Russian Academy of Science in hydrochloric mine near Artemovsk for registration of neutrino flux from huge star accidents (flashes of Supernovas , etc.), at research of primary acts of interaction of space particles of high energy with substance at Tian-Shan high-mountainous scientific station FIAN, with ice files of Antarctica and Lunar regolith.

In 1984 the chair has carried out All-Union meeting-seminar Acoustic methods of registration of particles of ultrahigh energy within the project DUMAND in which representatives of the leading physical organizations of the USSR (Physical Institute of the Russian Academy of Science named after P.N.Lebedev, the Moscow State University named after .. Lomonosov, the Institute of Nuclear Research of the Russian Academy of Science, the Moscow Engineering - physical Institute, the Kharkov National University, Pacific oceanologic institute of the Russian Academy of Science, Acoustic institute of the Russian Academy of Science, etc.) took part - in Lugansk we gathered all nuclear-neutrino and acoustic elite of the USSR... It is not necessary to forget, that neutrino-galactic aspect of work of deep acoustic detectors (neutrino telescope) was only top of an iceberg in a number of applied problems on acoustics of the World ocean.

Unique case in history of the Terrestrial Civilization - the first registration and decoding of the mechanism of the course of a huge star accident - the flash of the Supernova star which has taken place in the Galaxy nearest to us Big Magellan cloud about 170 thousand years ago (pictures are shown below). The flash of light and neutrino flux was formed at the moment of destruction (collapse) of the star has reached the Earth on February, 23, 1987, but neutrino pulse has outstripped the light front by 3 o'clock... (!?)

The scientific research executed till this time at the chair of physics in the direction of global power engineering has received wide recognition among global scientific elite. In September, 1992 on the basis of the chair an exit session of the International coordination council on low-temperature nuclear synthesis was held, and afterwards exit sessions of the first international seminar "Metal hydrogen - 92" had taken place. It is necessary to note participation in them of groups of the French physicists (Sorbonne, Paris) led by the holder of the Award of the Honorable legion prof. Jean - Pierre Vizhje - the pupil of well-known Louis-de-Broille and the colleague of the general, the future President of France... Charles-de-Golle.

One may consider as an estimation of the integrated contribution of chairs stuff to the process of transformation of institute to classical university. Some facts: creation in East-Ukrainian State University in 1993 of the natural - humanitarian faculty transformed in due course to natural - mathematical (1995), and then, after allocation from it of some faculties of a humanitarian and mathematical structure, to faculty of natural sciences, and election of doctor of sciences, prof. Golubnichiy P.I. as the dean of the specified faculties in 1993-1997, and from 1997 to 2002 - as the pro-rector on scientific work.

 

In 1995 - the specialty "Physics" opens, the old dream of the chairs team and its head comes true - to make it able to produce physicists, preparing them from capable pupils to physical elite not only for our region, but also the capital, and universities of far abroad.

 

In 1998 - the second specialty Applied physics opens.

 

In 2000 the chair of physics is divided to two structural units the chair of physics and the chair of applied physics.

 

2001 - in the second year of graduation the chair (specialty "Physics") lets out 10 masters and 12 specialists, having already the maximum - IV level of accreditation. By this time licenses for preparation of bachelors, specialists and masters had been obtained.

 

In 2002 in Yalta a conference had taken place called Abnormal effects in physics of high density of energy (macro-and microcosm), one of the organizers, alongside with Institutes of NAS of Ukraine, leading universities of Ukraine and Russia, was also the chair of physics of EUNU named after V.Dahl.

 

2004 - on the basis of the chair of physics branches of Institute of Physics of NASU (Kiev) and Radio-astronomical Institute NASU (Kharkov) are opened.

- The president of Ukraine awards the Rank of the Honored worker of a science and technics of Ukraine to the chairs head Golubnichiy P.I. The same year he also is awarded with the certificate of honour of Presidium of the National academy of sciences of Ukraine which was handed over by President of NAS of Ukraine academician B.E.Paton during a visit to Lugansk at the end of May, 2004.

 

 

- Professor Golubnichij P.I. as the vice-president of Lugansk Regional Scientific coordinative council of Donetsk scientific center of NAS of Ukraine supervised creation of a network of structures of National Academy attached to powerful scientific schools at universities of Lugansk area. The map shown below concerns distribution of divisions of NAS of Ukraine at centers of science. It is most likely in the near future to be seriously updated, at least, concerning their number in the East of Ukraine.

 

2005 - participation of employees of the chair of physics in Anniversary 10-th Antarctic expedition with the purpose of studying the spectrum of space particles of ultrahigh energy from radio-emission from cascade showers formed in dense environments (ice of Antarctica).

- Carrying out of Open University Physical Readings in EU National university, devoted to the International year of Physics. Participation in conference was taken with "physical" elite from all High schools of Lugansk and regional establishments.

- On March, 11-15 2005 the team of EUNU "SHALUN" is awarded on the 3 ALL-Ukrainian tournament of physicists with participants: A.Volkov ,awarded also with special prize from the jury, V.Ponevchinsky, L.Djachenko, S.Matsevich, S.Dunets, D.Levko.

 

2006 - on November, 17-21 student's team is awarded with the Diploma of the III degree on the V-th All-Ukrainian tournament of physicists with participants: S.Dunets, S.Matsevich, V.Ponevchinsky, K.Reznik, A.Tsimbaljuk. Separately awarded with Diploma of the II degree the winner in personal championship Stanislav Matsevich.

 

 

2007 - on November, 9-14 student's team "WasdOK" is awarded with the Diploma of III degree at

the VI All-Ukrainian tournament of physicists with participants: E.Stoljarov, S.Dunets, S.Frolov, S.Matsevich.

- The Association of graduates of speciality "Physics" in which 110 participants had been included is created.

Its our ANNIVERSARY we are 50 !

 

Already our 6 graduates have protected dissertations on reception of a degree of the candidate of physical and mathematical sciences (Zavalov ., Kaliuzhnaya A., Cheh Yu., Yakunin S., Orlova T., Egorov .). Senior lecturer Filonenko A.D. successfully protects the dissertation Radio-emission of cascade showers and detecting of cosmic rays of ultrahigh energy on reception of degree of the doctor of physical and mathematical sciences ( speciality 01.04.16 "Physics of a nuclear nucleus, elementary particles and high energy ).

The chair has the highly skilled teaching personnel, the sufficient material resources, necessary program-methodical maintenance for the organization of educational process at a level of the state requirements, powerful scientifically-methodical potential. Gorshkov V.M., 2000), Relaxative phenomena at distribution of a powerful flux of electromagnetic radiation within environment (the monograph, s.l. Preparation of specialists is carried out for research establishments and the industrial laboratories connected with conducting physical measurements, and also for work in national education.

Also the chair maintains scientific communications with the research centers of the CIS countries and far abroad (the USA, Japan, Italy). Works are carried out basically under nation-wide and inter-university programs. The basic results are stated more than in 200 publications, including such editions as Reports of AS of the USSR , Letters in ZhETF, Letters in ZhTF, the Nuclear physics , the Ukrainian physical magazine , Radiophysics and radio astronomy , Successes of physical sciences , the Space science and technology , Physics Letters, etc., and also in reports at seminars, symposiums, conferences of a different level, in the same number and on numerous international symposiums (Australia, Japan, the USA, India and other countries). SCIENTIFIC RESEARCHES

 

The basic scientific subjects is connected with researches in the field of physics of high density of energy (physics of nucleus, elementary particles and high energies, physics and chemistry of plasma, acoustics and hydrodynamics) - theoretical and experimental researches in the following directions:

 

Development of new methods of detecting of cosmic rays of ultrahigh energy,

 

Physics of long-living luminiscent plasma objects in the condensed environment and atmosphere (including the problem of fireball),

 

Theoretical and applied aspects of cavitative phenomena,

 

Physical processes at interaction of powerful corpuscular radiation (including nuclear, neutrino and laser beams) with the condensed environment,

 

Ways of nuclear-synthesis in nature the problem of spontaneous and compelled transmutation of the nucleus,

 

The problem of global power,

 

Scientific instrument making and the high technology physical technologies.

 

The collective of faculty receives a number of scientific achievements, the part from which is executed at a level of revealing of new physical effects and laws:

 

- The mechanism of acoustic emission from beams of an ionizing radiation and separate strongly ionizing particles in the condensed environment has been established;

 

- The method and the device is developed for measurement of thermodynamic parameters of sea water on depths up to 5 km (an acoustic variant of project DUMAND - neutrino telescope);

 

- The basic opportunity of radio-detecting of neutrino beams of high energy which are passing through seismically active environment;

 

- Theoretically grounded and experimentally confirmed the existence of fractal-accelerating components of the mechanism of low-temperature nuclear synthesis in deuterized rigid systems and its role in the tectonics of planets;

 

- Presence of low-frequency components of radio emission caused by electrons by wide atmospheric showers from space particles of ultrahigh energy is theoretically proved. It is offered to use the revealed effect for the decision of some fundamental problems in the physics and astrophysics;

 

- The hydrodinamical-acoustic effect initiated by individual splinters of division of nuclei of isotope of Californium-252 in stable liquids is found;

 

- The explosive mechanism of cavitative luminescence in liquid hydrocarbons (the applied aspect of researches is connected with an opportunity of reception in these conditions of such updating of carbon as diamond and fullerens) is established;

 

- The effect of formation is found in a cavity initiated spark in water with long-living luminescent objects, which time of existence is for 3-4 orders more than characteristic time of a relaxation of plasma (original micro-clots of lightning matter);

- The mechanism which explains the reason of occurrence and existence in nature of fireballs with abnormal high intensity of a radio emission in low-frequency (1 MHz) range;

 

- Theoretically unknown before mechanism of electrization of bodies which are in a stream of a liquid or gas is experimentally proved. The effect has numerous application, in particular, is offered for an explanation of such grandiose phenomenon on scales in the nature as processes of lightning, occurrence and developments of electric phenomena in an atmosphere (linear lightnings).

Cosmic rays. Registration of protons and neutrinos of ultrahigh energy.

 

For modern physics and astrophysics of elementary particles one of the basic questions is - destiny of the Universe, mechanisms of its formation and the further evolution. The answer to it is incorporated in processes of birth of particles with ultrahigh energy (> 10^20 eV). Registration of particles with use as a working plane of the detector of surfaces of Antarctica and the Moon allows to glance in the past and the future of our Universe, to enrich our knowledge in the physics of elementary particles and astrophysics, will open prospects for development of new energy sources...

 

Research in the given area are directed on studying of a spectrum of space particles ultrahigh energy from radio-emission from the cascade showers formed by them in dense environments. It is supposed, that the particle of ultrahigh energy (10^21-10^23 eV) causes the electron-photon cascade with a superfluous charge which by various mechanisms can radiate electromagnetic waves.

 

Researches which have been begun several years ago on registration of particles ultrahigh energy at radio-telescope UTR-2 (Kharkov) which uses the surface of the Moon as a big target (ten millions square kilometers) proceed. With the same purpose are used ice surface of Antarctica (the complexes installed at Ukrainian Antarctic station "Academician Vernadsky" of the National Antarctic Center of Ukraine by employees of the chair at the tenth Antarctic expedition - 2005 are applied to a radio antenna). This project is carried out in cooperation with the Kiev National University, Institute of nuclear researches of NAS of Ukraine, the Odessa National Polytechnic University.

 

From Ukrainian Antarctic station "Academician Vernadsky" from the specified radio-antenna complex data on satellite channels constantly are received. Besides the reception of the physical information this data will allow to improve the technique of registration of radio emission in the future experiment.

Now in works of physicists of EUNU in partnership with physicists of other universities and institutes NAS of Ukraine (the Kiev national university, Institute of nuclear researches of NAS of Ukraine, the Odessa national polytechnic university, Institute of theoretical physics) it is shown that the orbital monthly satellite at height of ~1000 km with simple aerials in the form of three mutually perpendicular vibrators and acceptance radio equipment on board can register radio impulses caused in monthly regolith by particles with energy more than 10^21-10^22 . This project has successfully sustained examination and among eleven from 90 offered works at conference in Evpatoria has been recommended to inclusion within the international initiative EXPLORATION (that provides development of the Moon and planets of Solar system) in the State space program of Ukraine for 2008 Realization of the space project on monitoring the Universe in a range of super-high energy (The Moon and its predecessor - Antarctic variants) is one of the most fundamental and priority projects for Ukraine in XXI century.

Physics of singular light beams

 

Evolution and properties of the light beams containing optical whirlwinds (WW) is investigated. Theoretical research includes modeling the phenomena of an interference and diffraction in a light field which cause WW formation. Research of localization and a trajectory of dislocative lines in space is lead by means of the developed mathematical model which allows to reduce a stationary spatial problem to dynamic and to open mechanisms of WW formation. The experimental research of diffractive fields is spent by means of interferative analysis together with employees of department of optical quantum electronics of Institute of NAS physics of Ukraine.

Within the limits of research mechanisms of formation and evolution of optical whirlwinds in a light field under two scripts are opened; it is proved simple and highly effective (70 %) a method of synthesis of singular beam from Gauss by means of a phase wedge; mechanisms of regeneration of helicoidal structures of wave front are opened at diffraction of singular one- and many- charged beams on edge of the opaque screen which cuts WW core. The problem of diffraction of a flat wave on a round aperture and a disk without paraxive approach is solved. Absence of singular phases on distances multiple is shown to pair number of Fresneil zones and shift of extreme of amplitudes on an axis in comparison with the results received in paraxive approach; theoretically also it is experimentally shown, that phase speed of a field of diffraction on an opaque disk on an axis (Poisson spot) exceeds speed of light c.

 

In figures the model of singular beam, encircling the cooled particle not damaging it owing to low power in the center (a) and a settlement phase map (b) is submitted, allowing to detect optical whirlwind in the field of a convergence of phase lines.

 

 

 

High-energy physical effects at interaction of an acoustic wave with liquid

 

At some modes of ultrasonic cavitation in liquids which contain hydrogen or its isotopes, arise the conditions initiating nuclear reactions. Research in this area is of great importance for development of modern fundamental and applied sciences. They can be used for reception of new ecologically safe sources of ionized radiation, and experimental sono-nuclear reactors.

 

During the last years of significant growth of publications in which the opportunity of reception of high-temperature plasma is shown at collapse of a cavity in conditions of one-bubble cavitation. The available data speak about opportunity of reception at a collapse of single bubble the conditions close to realization of reactions of thermonuclear synthesis. It specify experimental data on registration of neutrons in D-D synthesis (2,5 MeV) and tritium with deuteried acetone at cavitation in focused acoustic field at specific conditions.

 

 

Micro-thermonuclear synthesis in collapsing cavity

 

Works in the field of ultrasonic cavitation will allow to come nearer to conditions of passage of reaction of nuclear synthesis and to find ways of increase in temperature at a collapse of a resonant cavity in a periodic and pulse ultrasonic field for achievement of thermodynamic conditions of reactions of thermonuclear synthesis close to initiation.

 

Hetero-phase plasma-luminescent and nuclear-ionizing effects at a powerful energy pulse in condensed environment (laser pulses, high-voltage categories, acoustic fields)

 

Researches will allow to study and explain abnormal natural phenomena, in particular - various types of nucleosynthesis, powerful earthquakes, fireball, formation of diamonds in nature, etc.

 

Employees of the chair of physics had revealed, that at disintegration of low-temperature water plasma long-living luminous objects (LLLO) can be created. Results of researches of process of formation and dynamics of these formations, their spectra and spectra of plasma, and also other data specify that LLLO are formed of unknown metastable connections which possess a stock of energy much exceeding thermodynamic-equilibrium which time of existence is not less than in times more than characteristic time of a relaxation of water plasma.

LLLO under characteristics are similar to the natural phenomena - to fireballs.

The further researches in the field of powerful energy release in liquid will allow to find out::

- The mechanism of creation of power-intensive connections of which LLLO are made ;

- Their physical nature;

- Methods of optimization of process of creation;

- The received results can be used for the decision of the problem connected to global power (a new kind of fuel, etc.).

Creation of international collaboration for realization of the space project on monitoring the universe in a range of ultrahigh energy(The Moon and Antarctic variants) as priority project for EUNU, Lugansk and Ukraine in the XXI century.

The international communications of the chair of physics are characterized by that active cooperation with foreign centers of science, the basic of them:


- Carrying out of the common works on measurement of fluxes of ultrahigh energy particles in Antarctic Region within the framework of cooperation of national Antarctic agencies of Ukraine, Russia, the USA;


- Carrying out of common works on measurement of intensity and direction of arrival of particles of ultrahigh energy on near-Moon orbit within the framework of cooperation of national space agencies and several universities of Ukraine, Russia, China;


- Research of physical effects at powerful pulse of electromagnetic and acoustic interaction in the condensed environments together with Southern Federal University (Russia) and Institute of nuclear researches (Saint Petersburg).


The faculty actively conducts cooperation with foreign HIGH SCHOOLS on the basic directions research and study, such as:


- Preparation of the scientific staff;
- The organization of preparation and training of students abroad;
- Carrying out of joint scientific researches with the foreign scientific and industrial organizations;
